Teaching at UW: Engaging Students with Active Learning

During the fall 2020 semester, students were surveyed about their learning experiences related to instruction. Among the results was a stated desire for greater and more meaningful engagement with the course content, with their instructors and among their classmates.

In this session, you will:

1. Identify and leverage active learning strategies based on desired learning outcomes.
2. Explore the ways in which active learning approaches can be implemented in your course.

This workshop is part of Teaching at UW: Pre-Semester Course Preparation. Participants are encouraged to attend all four pre-semester workshops.
