Teaching at UW: Structuring Effective Group Projects
March 4 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Group projects can be some of the most exciting, engaging and eye-opening activities for your students. Social learning offers students unique opportunities to gain experience and skills in collaboration, critical thinking, self-reflection and the co-creation of knowledge. While there are many benefits of group projects, there are also many challenges managing groups both as a participant and as the instructor.
In this session, you will:
- Explain the value of group projects for student learning.
- Draft an outline of a group project.
This workshop is part of the Teaching at UW Program.
