Teaching at UW: Utilizing Classroom Assessment Strategies
April 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Classroom assessment techniques (CATS, for short) are short activities that typically provide a direct, formative and informal assessment, allowing instructors to see what students know and can do so they can make adjustments. This is a unique opportunity to develop an assessment that is designed to improve the quality of learning and obtain useful feedback on the learning process.
In this session, you will:
- Explore classroom assessment techniques that would help achieve your course learning outcomes.
- Plan a classroom assessment technique for your course to help gauge learning and improve instruction.
This workshop is part of the Teaching at UW Program.
