Michelle Bright is the senior executive assistant for the Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring within the Division for Teaching and Learning. Her previous incarnations at UW include serving as an administrative program specialist with the High Road Strategy Center where she worked with the Mayors Innovation Project, the State Smart Transportation Initiative, Educational Partnerships for Innovation in Communities – Network, Progressive Local Government for the 21st Century and the UniverCity Alliance. She was also assistant to the chair in the Department of Sociology, and her first job in Madison was with Isthmus, an independent local news source. She is a 2024 award recipient from the BIC Foundation supporting creative thinking in schools.
