Bobbi Rohrs has served as a UW instructional designer since 2018. She started in the Division of Continuing Studies and joined the Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring at its 2021 creation. She has partnered with many schools and colleges to design online and blended professional programs. She enjoys collaboration with instructors to design and deliver engaging, organized, and aligned courses. She is experienced with Quality Matters and holds certification in applying the QM Higher Education Rubric. Enhancing the educational experience for online learners and instructors is her favorite aspect of instructional design. She began her career in education in 2008 as an instructional technologist and band and general music teacher in central Wisconsin. In the public schools, she served as the department chair of technology and advised and created the digital media club. In that role she completed the pilot for online education certification for Wisconsin educators. Additional educational roles include learning management system administrator for a large Wisconsin state agency, training liaison and private lesson instructor at Heid Music. In 2015 she completed the IT Desktop Support program at Madison College. Bobbi enjoys kayaking, hiking, making music and gardening.
