Michelle specializes in designing interactive online engagements for academic and non-credit programs. She has delivered effective trainings on even the most sensitive topics, including those sponsored by the UW–Madison Office of Compliance and the Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System. Michelle received her M.Ed. in Instructional Design and Technology in 2018, and prior to her work in CTLM, she provided technical support and instructional design services within UW–Madison’s Division of Information Technology (DoIT). Michelle started her career in education in 2014 as an elementary teacher in the Madison Metropolitan School District. During the summer months, she developed curricular frameworks for a UW–Madison research center, Games+Learning+Society (GLS), and facilitated computer programming workshops for K-12 students. These experiences lead Michelle to the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District where, as a technology integrator, she implemented Apple Education devices for every teacher and student. Her most fond memories during this time include coaching Robotics Club and creating and running the school Makerspace. Michelle loves sharing her passion for providing engaging, personalized and accessible learning experiences with others and she is always learning from new people and technologies. In her pastime, Michelle enjoys playing volleyball, the outdoors, and renovating her home.
